Downloader EU and many other languages

New Downloaders for English and German

We became aware of an issue affecting the previously available German and EU English versions of the digital install downloader for Diablo III, which would not download all the necessary files. If you've pre-downloaded the digital version of the game in these languages before 10:00 AM CEST (9:00 AM GMT) on Saturday May 12, you must obtain the new downloaders to be able to install properly once the game is released on May 15. We apologize for the inconvenience, and ask that you please let friends and acquaintances know so they can begin downloading the working installer that's now available.
1. Obtain the new Diablo III digital downloader using the links below
2. Point the download save at the same directory as before

The folder in question is your main game data folder. If you have the game downloaded to D:\Games\Diablo-III-8370-enGB-Installer, please point the download to D:\Games\. Do not use the automatically generated folder containing the installation files (i.e. do not use the directory D:\Games\Diablo-III-8370-enGB-Installer as this is the one created by the downloader).
3. If you chose the correct directory only around 65MB will need to be downloaded to fix your install, otherwise you'll re-download the entire ~7.6GB

New German Installer
New German Installer (Mac)
For more information or help with the installation, check out the Diablo III Pre-Sale Downloader Walkthrough or use the search on the Battle.net support site.
Whether you repair your previous install or download the entire game again, it's necessary to use this new downloader to install and play the game when it launches.

Diablo 3 Battle tag

Diablo III Create Your BattleTag

The worldwide release of Diablo III on May 15 is less than two weeks away! Be ready to face down the legions of the Burning Hells as soon as the game launches by creating your BattleTag™ nickname today.
As we've mentioned previously, you’ll be required to choose a BattleTag before you can play Diablo III. Your BattleTag will serve as your public identity in-game, on the Diablo III forums, and in other places around Battle.net. To create your BattleTag or use your one free BattleTag change, simply log in to Battle.net Account Management, head to the Account > Summary page, and look for the Create or Change option under Account Details. BattleTags aren't unique, so you can pick any name you like as long as it adheres to the BattleTag Naming Policy.
Your BattleTag ID will be listed under "Account Details"
The BattleTag FAQ and Battle.net website have also been updated to include more information about how BattleTags will work at the launch of Diablo III, what StarCraft II and World of Warcraft players can expect to see, and our long-term plans for the BattleTag system. Check out these resources for all the gritty details, and then head over to Battle.net to set up your BattleTag now.

Diablo 3 event at launch date

Diablo III Launch Events Across Europe

We’re inviting you to join us for the launch of Diablo III! In addition to local retail shops’ midnight launches, we’re holding a number of demonically charged worldwide launch events in major cities where you can join Blizzard to celebrate the release of Diablo III and pick up your copy of the game. Each event will have its own activities, giveaways, and contests, so see the press release for further details and be sure to check the launch event site for more info on the one nearest you.
Whether you’re attending a launch event, grabbing the game at a local store, or waiting patiently at home for your digital version to unlock, you’ll want to be ready to jump in right when the servers open. For the European region, the game servers will go live at 00:01 CEST on May 15. As a reminder to our Russian players, the Russian-language version of the game will be available digitally and at retail starting June 7.
Don’t forget to create your BattleTag — it's important to do so now if you haven't already, as it’s REQUIRED TO PLAY DIABLO III. Also note that if you’d like to receive a digital copy of Diablo III free, there are still a few days left to sign up for the World of Warcraft Annual Pass.
We hope to see you at one of our Diablo III launch events, and we look forward to seeing you in-game on May 15!
